Bio

CAROLUNA

Avant-garde soprano, composer, and visual artist (aka VJ LUNA), Caroluna performs classical, opera, jazz, cabaret, electronica, and world music. She has performed as a soloist / video artist at the XX Olympic Winter Games in Turin, Italy,  at Grace Cathedral, Herbst Theater, The Fillmore, LUX video art Festival in Sevilla, Spain, SF’s annual Flower Piano and at many other venues and music festivals both nationally and internationally.

Caroluna is a featured soloist with the Musical Art Quintet and the Classical Revolution orchestra.

Moon Songs is Caroluna’s current project, performing songs about the moon on full moon nights.

   

Her debut album “Sacred Love Songs” is a world music project which she composed and produced. It’s available on Bandcamp

Caroluna creates events, concerts and recitals including, “Poems of Ecstasy,” a visual music program of 20th century French Classical music for the Oakland Lyric Opera, concerts at at the Fenix in San Rafael; “CAROLUNA and the Musical Art Quintet”, “ROMANTICA, French and Italian Love Songs and Arias” with Pianist Allison Lovejoy, “SUPERMOON”, with pianist Paul Smith, and guest artist Giovanni Di Morenti, lead singer of El Radio Fantastique , and recently, two concerts at Old St Hilary’s Landmark, “Harvest Moon Songs”, and “EQUILUX” , both with string ensembles and piano. She performed the lead role, Constanze (Mozart’s wife) in the chamber opera, “Scenes from Mozart’s life” for the Contemporary Opera Marin.
